Green Mountain Bhutanese Organization, Inc. (GMBO) is proud to announce Community service Program beginning from 01/14/2017 in O'Brian Community Center in Winooski, VT 05404. 


Program Details:

  1. Saturdays: Citizenship Classes -----------Time: 3:00pm to 5:00pm

  2. Tuesdays: Other general assistance------Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm  

 Location:  O'Brian Community Center

                 32 Malletts Bay Ave 

                 Winooski, VT 05404.



The Program is projected to assist Bhutanese Community and other newly immigrant communities, in the State of Vermont. In the first phase, the program will have some limitations to direct legal assistant, yet we will have additional suggestions and directives to better service to our clients.


We have dedicated volunteers servicing their community. We have provided a workshop to most of our volunteers on "confidentiality and professionalism" to maintain the standard of security.


We shall serve individuals or families on the following categories:



  • DCF application for 3SquaresVT, Reach-Up, Fuel Assistance, Medicaid/Medicare

  • Citizenship/Permanent Resident Card, other Federal applications

  • Driver aid free support

  • Financial Management such as Direct Deposit, auto pay, transfers, etc.

  • Limited technical support/counseling/support regarding college enrollment, major and applications

  • Resume Building/Job applications

  • Referral services

  • Free on call driver available within 10 miles range (Service is only available for new immigrant families without having reliable transportations). Service is limited to Hospital visits and official appointments. The request must be made 24 hours in advance.

 GMBO urges every Bhutanese community members to join us in this program. Despite our busy schedules, if we could contribute 1-2 hours a week or in 2 weeks, that would help needy people.
